This is my brother.
After bribing him with a plushie version of Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog, I've managed to get him to agree to cosplay Tao Ren. Unfortunately, although my mom was nice enough to secure the plushie, she's not paying for his cosplay. This throws off my expenses estimate somewhat. And that's where you come in. From now until whenever I'm able to afford both of our outfits, I'll be taking commissions to raise money.
Prices:For one character: $5 (USD)
For every additional character in the same picture: $1 (USD)
Just so this is clear, a picture with a single person in it is $5, whereas a group pic would be $5 plus $1 for however many other people are in it. Two separate pictures of two different characters would be $10. If you want a background go ahead and ask for it; I won't charge because I suck at backgrounds.
UPDATEI'm now also offering custom computer cases! These can be totally freeform, from stencils to murals to sculpture actually on the case - right now I'm making a case for my brother with a model of Sonic, Tails, and Angel Island on it. All I ask is a good description (a rough sketch would be lovely too, but not necessary) of whatever funkiness you want on your box, and I'll see what I can do. Estimates are on request, since the price will cover the cost of materials and shipping plus my service charge. I'll also order a brand new box for you if you so desire.
I'll be taking payments through PayPal, and orders via note. Request digital (Photoshop) or real media (colored pencils), or just leave it up to me. If you'd like a hard copy of your request, just e-mail me with your name and address and I'll drop it in the mail. If you asked for real media you'll be getting the original copy right out of my sketchbook, and if you asked for digital you'll get a nice 8x10 glossy. If you're requesting a digital work and you want it to be bigger (say, poster sized) please let me know in your initial note, because larger images have to be handled differently from the beginning. Keep in mind that the cost of printing and such for bigger pieces will factor into the price.
Also, watch this space, because I'll be putting up some of my paintings for sale as well. All of the paintings are done on canvas in oil paint, and I have no idea what they'll be of just yet; probably a few original characters. The prices on them will range from $40 (smaller canvas - 18"x 22") to $75 (big canvas - 24"x36"), not including shipping. They'll also be unframed, so you can hang them as-is or get a neat frame to match your style. I'll post a preview of each one when it's available, as well as the dimensions and cost, and whoever wants it can note me, first come first serve.
All right, so you've read through all that and you've decided you want to commission me. Here are a few rules to keep in mind:
1. I have the right to refuse any order at any time for whatever silly reason I can think of, although I doubt that'll be an issue.
2. Once I recieve your order, I'll do a sketch and send it to you to make sure the pose and details are all right; you can request changes or additions at this point. Once the image is satisfactory, I'll color it after receiving payment. You can expect the image to be finished in 1-2 weeks (or sooner), and you may cancel your order at any time.
3. I will not accept orders for pornographic, racist, vulgar, or graphically violent images. Basically, if it wouldn't be allowed on dA, don't ask me to draw it.
4. No fanart orders, please. Original characters only!
5. This is really more of a guideline than an absolute rule (yarr!), but I'll say up front that I'm not great with anthro art and even worse with animals. Still, if you're willing to accept that and pay me anyway, I'll try it.
6. If you're ordering a computer case from me, please note that I won't work on anything with parts in it (other than fans and any sort of equipment that's in there off the shelf). Therefore, if you'd like me to paint an existing case, take the parts out of it first. Just note that you're still responsible for it until it gets to me.
I think that's it. Remember, if you want to see
this dressed like
this, drop me a line and contribute! The whole outfit includes the shirt, pants, shoes, tongari, kwan-dao, colored contacts, and possibly an oracle bell. Once I get enough money for the cosplay and finish making it, I'll be sure to get a picture of him in it and put it up here!
